John Tarsitano is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families through a compassionate and integrative therapeutic approach. He works from Jungian, Depth, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) perspectives, tailoring sessions to meet each client's unique needs. Under the supervision of Dr. Patterson, John helps clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, and life transitions, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and healing.

John earned his bachelor's degree from the University of San Diego and later pursued a master's degree in counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where he deepened his understanding of depth psychology and therapeutic practices. He completed an internship at Vista Del Mar Hospital, where he worked with a diverse range of clients, from adolescents to seniors, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health concerns.

Passionate about the sacred nature of therapeutic work, John views the dynamic exchange between therapist and analysand as a profound container for transformation, healing, and self-discovery. He considers it an honor to accompany clients on their personal journeys and help them explore the depths of their being.

Beyond the therapy room, John enjoys staying active through playing and coaching soccer, hiking, running, beach volleyball, and pickleball. Deeply connected to his intimate community of friends, John moved back to San Diego largely to be near the people who bring meaning and joy to his life. At home, he shares his space with two adopted feral cats, Artemis (Artie) and Lilith (Lilly), who keep him on his toes with their playful and mischievous antics.
