Dr. Heidi McClune (PSY25666)

Dr. Heidi McClune is a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in the therapeutic care and psychological treatment of children, adolescents, and adults. She completed her undergraduate work at Colby College (Maine) and earned her Master's Degree and Doctorates' Degree at Alliant International University, San Diego.  Dr. McClune has been part of the team at IPSC since 2010.

 

Dr. McClune has treatment specialties in anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship difficulties, and behavioral problems. She also works with individuals on career and personal development, academic difficulties, self-esteem issues, and conflicts with friends or family. Her clinical work is predominantly cognitive-behavioral, building on the strengths and values of individuals and families to help them achieve the lives they want.

 

Dr. McClune has a Master’s Degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. Her background includes experience working at local hospitals, outpatient psychological treatment centers, and community mental health agencies providing psychological care for both adults and children. She has worked extensively on local university research projects aimed at improving mental and physical health among children and young adults, and has worked as an adjunct faculty member at a local university assisting students with their dissertation projects. Dr. McClune has also provided psychological testing for children and adolescents throughout her career. She is the supervising clinical psychologist for Brittney Castillo, M.A at IPSC.

 

In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, and going to the park with her 80 lb "lap dog", Dozer. She is originally from New Hampshire, so tries to get to the mountains and snow when she can.
